PENTA Foundation in collaboration with IAAS Indonesia successfully held a two-day national workshop on Circular Agriculture. Funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the activity was conducted online and attended by around 100 participants consisting of academics, agricultural practitioners, government, businesses, and NGOs from all over Indonesia and the Netherlands.
On the first day hosted by Progeso NL in Indonesia, the activity was opened with presentations by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia; Rik Eweg from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Science; Jan Verhagen from Wageningen University & Research (WUR); and I Kadek Gandhi, a young agripreneur from Bali.
In the discussion session, participants were divided into 8 groups guided by Tani Hub, LPTP Solo, YBTS, as well as Rotasi Institute, and produced recommendations on circular agriculture that could be implemented in Indonesia.
